Easter Eve if you will I had had a long day at work, having awoke at 3:30 am and worked a long day. My son was home from school. He and his friends were jamming in the basement and it was sounding pretty good. I didn’t want to make them stop but I was pretty tired. I had tried to soundproof the basement a few years earlier but I only made it sound resistant. I can hear my TV while they are playing so it did help some. I know he doesn’t get to play much at school so I didn’t want to make him stop. I decided I would try the new trailer for the evening. I invited the wife to bring the dogs and join me but she declined. I fired up the furnace while I got ready and off I went. Over all it was ok. My mattress came with the trailer and is a little firm. We had out a memory foam topper and mattress cover but it didn’t help that much. In the beginning I tossed and turned until I discovered that it was only about 63°. I turned up the heat and slept pretty well the rest of the night. I did discover the next morning that the reason my room was chilly was that a heat register was in the floor right below the thermostat! The furnace wasn’t running long enough to heat my room. I’ll have to take care of that in the very near future. It’s nice to know that the trailer is available, and now that it’s de-winterized you can have running water and a bathroom to use in the middle of the night!
It’s a new trailer and we are eager to take it on a shake down trip. Maybe we will try another driveway night or maybe we will go up the road.
