We stayed at Gettysburg Farm RV Campground in Dover, PA this week May 22nd thru the 25th 2018. Their website is Gettysburg Farm RV Campground . They have a nice clean website though some of the details or information that you might be searching for is not there. You can however complete your entire reservation online without having to call to complete the process. A confirmation email arrived shortly after making the reservation. The major criteria for us in choosing a campground is whether we can bring our three dogs, the choice in the reservation drop down box went up to six I believe so that was nice. Upon arrival we went to the trading post and they had our paperwork bundled and ready to go. The roads are all gravel but clearly marked and easy to navigate. The sites are first come first serve but they keep track of which ones are occupied and will advise you where to park based on your needs. There is a combination of full hookup sites that are either 30 amp and others that are 50 amp. There are also a good number of electric/water sites along the Conewago Creek. The full service sites are all nestled amongst the trees and so some of the spots can be a little tricky to back into. Especially hard to back into spots are ones next to sites that have annual guests that have wood piles and decorations that tighten your access to the adjoining site. There are also some cabins to rent that looked very nice from the outside. We really enjoyed our stay here so don’t take the following comments as a negative review. There seemed to be fire rings and picnic tables at all the sites with many barbecue grills placed throughout the park. They have horseshoe pits, shuffleboard, put-put, volleyball, playgrounds and other activities throughout the park. Most of these activities seemed OK but they all looked like they needed a little freshening up. The sites were nice with a combo of grass and gravel with good water pressure and electrical service. They have a pool that looks nice thought it was opening for the season as we were leaving. The best part of the campground was the animals. There were turkeys, ducks, chickens, horses, donkeys, lamas, peacocks and goats that all seemed to be having babies. There is a petting zoo with limited hours but you can see all the above mentioned animals all day just by walking past their pens. I believe that there were three bath houses in the park. We don’t use the bath houses but on quick examination they seemed clean and functional. There was at least one laundry mat at the trading post and I think at least one of the bath houses also had a laundry room. There was also a game room with video games and a pool table. As I said we enjoyed our stay and will probably return at a later date.
