So we went camping this week for four days. It was raining constantly before we left and during the drive. When we left we raised the electric jack after hooking the trailer to the truck hitch. When we got home we emptied the trailer of the food items and dirty clothes/linens and chilled for a little bit. When I went out to disconnect the trailer from the truck I could not get the electric jack to work. I tried the manual override and could not get the jack to budge. I ended up disassembling the jack and placed the jack screw in my vise. It took a lot of effort to break the screw free. I believe that there was still moisture on the two parts and that in the four plus hours that they were together they actually rusted together.
